Being a science teacher I find it to be a very similiar to the scientific methods of discover. So to me ISD models are a for of discovery learning. It is through this kind of learning that we get to not only know the core facts on a subject but get to use procedural knowledge to make a acedemic disposition. By teaching students to be inquiry based learners we are giving them the models to be life long learners.

Is a open inquiry form of learning using methods like a pesonal journal , learning logs if this is in a blog format it is easy for the teachers to check on someones personal journalling of different activities.
How is the 5E lesson plan design (from the Constructivism Webquest) is different from the MSMC template, how is it aligned with the inquiry process? If you were a principle of the school, will you encourage your teachers using it in their teaching? Why?
I like the 5 E learning system for science, it fits like a glove. I think as a principal it is something I would like to see implemented as part of a overall learning experience. The more you limit yourself to one style or model of learning the more narrow the field of learning becomes. Teachers should use whatever is the best style and teaching model for the material, goals and objective to accomplish acedemic dispostion for the students.
